Changing Homes, Changing Lives:  Richfield-based O’Noonan Construction Gives Back by Hosting The Pink Ribbon Project Open House on June 13, 2009

It all started in the summer of 2008, when O’Noonan Construction was contracted for a major remodel and addition project in Richfield, MN. After months of planning and deliberating, the project was almost ready to break ground when the client, Amy Gaston, was dealt a devastating blow: she was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Amy and her husband ultimately decided to put the project on hold, until O’Noonan proposed a plan that would benefit both Amy and her family and breast cancer research.

Now, several months later, O’Noonan Construction, with the help of several other companies like Cambria, Warner’s Stellian and Scherer Brothers Lumber, is sponsoring an Open House event on June 13th, 2009 to benefit the Love/Avon Army of Women organization.  The Gaston family remodeling project was coined “The Pink Ribbon Project,” and represents a local company’s willingness to go the extra mile for a cause they believe in.  This event is open to the public and will include raffle drawings, informational booths provided by both the event sponsors and the Avon Army of Women and much more!

“O’Noonan Construction was in a unique position to not only help out a client fighting breast cancer but contribute in a real way to the bigger picture by giving back to the Love/Avon Army of Women,” comments Pat Noonan, President of O’Noonan Construction.  “This project, which started with the simple thought of helping out a family, has turned into a charitable, grassroots effort involving many of our suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, designers and business associates.  So many of us have joined forces to help build a family’s dream home and now we are continuing the positive momentum and hosting a full-scale event that will raise money for an organization we all believe in.  It’s been a project beyond my wildest imagination.”
